Going... Going... Gone!

We got up early on Monday, April 4, 2016 and finished the final packing items.  We were allowed four bags (weighing less than 50 pounds) plus our 2 carry-ons,  "HMMMM, What to take, what to take, what not to take"  as priorities.  After weeding out the few last heavy items, and putting them into the box that "will hopefully make it to the Congo some day in the next thirty months", we weighed them each 3 or 4 times and finally taped them up.  We were ready to head for the airport.

We gave our last few good-byes, hugs and kisses.

Hunter Harvey is Ed's sidekick.  Ed has spent lots of time at Lani's new home, finishing projects.  Harvey is always right there with him... even on the ladder.  They have a special relationship.  After Ed kissed him goodbye, in the car, and walked toward the airport doors ... Harvey was devastated!

But most of the tears shed were happy tears...

After all, "Grammy and Papa get to go on another mission to the Congo... and this time they get to build a temple!"
