Ed has been juggling working at the mission office and
checking up on the construction at the orphanage. The orphanage is a 45 to 75 minute drive,
depending upon traffic. We were feeling
a little overwhelmed.
He (Ed) decided to hire 4 of our graduate students that weren't working for anyone else. It was good to have them there to start digging trenches to prepare the footings for the water barrier wall.

Then, Ryan’s family of 3 kids, ages 17, 14 and 11 came to visit for a month with their mom, Angie.
A few days later Ryan’s parents came for 10 days. They brought several big suitcases full of clothing, and a few toys, for the children at the orphanage. They came out and worked hard and helped get 3 rooms painted. Ryans kids have had a great attitude, and the orphanage kids have fallen in love with them.
After we had worked with our 4 employees for about a week,
Ryan announced things were slow over at one of the church jobs and he was going
to send us some men to help at the orphanage.
The next day we had 8 more guys show up and they have now been working
with us for two weeks.
Things are moving along. We can see progress. They poured the new cement floors throughout the bedrooms, kitchen and office. They have put in the foundation for the block wall and they are presently laying block. We had all of these guys for over three weeks and they did great things for us!
